| Geelani mastermind of KPs exodus from Kashmir: PK | | | early times report
Jammu, July 12: Panun Kashmir, an amalgam of Kashmiri Pandits, today alleged that Hurriyat faction Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani was the mastermind behind exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from the Valley. 'Geelani is one of the masterminds of the genocide perpetrated on Kashmiri Hindus and hence a person who has committed crimes against humanity,' Ajay Chrungoo, chairman, Panun Kashmir told reporters here this afternoon.
The statement came in view of recent remarks of Mr Geelani that the transition camps built by the government for Kashmiri Hindu employees in the Valley were aimed at demographic change only underlined the extreme vulnerability of not only these employees but the entire Kashmiri Hindu community living there. Mr Chrungoo said the tolerance shown by the governments in the state and the Centre to such leaders was baffling. 'The events and incidents taking place across the state and particularly in the Valley clearly indicate that not only the tap of terrorist violence is being opened but also the ambit of radical communalisation is widening,' he alleged. He, however, said organs and institutions of society as well as segments of the government machinery were suffering from what should be called as 'Geelani sickness'. 'Panun Kashmir calls upon the state and the Central governments to recognise the extreme dangers to the safety of the Kashmiri Hindu employees working in Valley and shift them to Jammu before any untoward mishap happens,' the KP leader added.
