| Div Com reviews preparedness of executing agencies | | Expansion of Jammu Airport | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 12: The Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pardeep Gupta today directed concerned departments to expedite the ground work for the expansion of Jammu airport including shifting of utilities.
Elaborating upon various aspects of upgradation and expansion project for Jammu Airport, he said the exercise of getting clearances from various State and Central agencies has already been completed.
He stressed the need for close coordination among various departments and the Airport Authority of India for early completion of the project. Representatives from various departments gave a detailed account of the preparedness made for their respective part of works and assured every cooperation with the main executing agencies.
Detailed discussion was held on various matters regarding the expansion of the Airport and the shifting of utilities.
The Divisional Commissioner stressed that various agencies involved in the project should synchronise their working so that bottlenecks can be removed for timely completion of the project.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma, Chief Engineer R&B S. T. Mustafa, CE Systems PDD Ajay Gupta, Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control Ashwani K. Sharma, SE PWD P. L. Bhushan, officers from army, Revenue Department, Forest, Airport Authority of India and other concerned departments were present in the meeting. |
