Complainants take U-turn, police left in high and dry
Army Major Wife's swindling case

Jammu, July 12: The police is left in a Catch-22 situation when the two complainants out of six taking U-turn completely denied any incident of swindling at their outlets by one Archna Choudary, wife of Major Dinesh Choudary, posted in 8 Sikh Regiment at Nagrota for swindling lakhs of rupees .
Sources said that two exclusive showrooms who earlier had filed complaints of being duped by a woman now have rejected any such incident. And this virtually had left the police in fix and infact the investigating agency is in a spot 'what to do or what not to do' .
Sources revealed the names of two complainants who took U turn as City Walker Show Room,Gandhi Nagar and Titan Watch show room in City Square Mall. Surprisingly all this happened just when alleged accused and complainants are of more significant as challan was being produced by police on Saturday.
Pertinent to mention here that four of such cases i.e. cases of being cheated by the traders yet are with police and it is cornered as there are reports that police received an official docket regarding the case reportedly was dispatched from Jammu High Court saying the two traders has turned down the allegations of being duped.
If the sources are to be believed, Army Major on behalf of his wife lodged plea under section 561 CrPC for quashment of the FIRs lodged against her stating that no such incidents have taken place, thus maligned the image of police.
Feeling the heat of blame game, police took the matter serious and is all set to produce the evidence against the accused army Major's wife in the High Court on coming Saturday to defend their integrity. Sources further said that in the shape of evidences police is going to produce two clippings of CCTV cameras in which Archana Choudary is seen on swindling spree, besides original copy of complaints lodged by complainants.
"The 'on demand ' form in which Archana Choudhary reportedly furnished wrong information quoting herself as Sonu Sharma and bank account number is likely to be produced before court by the police, sources said.
A high chaired police official on authorized anonymity said that Police has also made a list of army's intelligence personnel who instead of doing their duty have seen been shuttling between the residences and establishments of the complainants with the apparent purpose.
A complaint letter to senior most Army personnel is also being forwarded by police in this connection, he added.
Pertinently six cases were registered against her in Jammu city which including two in Gandhi Nagar police station, two in Nowabad police station and two in City police station. However, a senior police officer when contacted said that she was not arrested yet.
The woman (probably a typical case of 'kleptomania' obsessed to steal things ) looted shopkeepers in Gandhinagar twice in a day and executed his looting plan consecutively at three places in three days in the city with the help of two armed PSOs in army uniform.
