| Municipal Council Kathua sits upon RTI plea | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, July 13: Municipal Council Kathua allegedly sits upon RTI application in which applicant has sought some information regarding the said organization. According to sources violating the spirit of RTI Act , 2009 the Municipal Council Kathua turned down the repeated requests of the applicant Dr Guru Prasad (vide application number MC-K/2012/206, dated 28-06-12) of providing him information sought by him. "Irony of the matter is that the concerned department even did not inform the applicant within the prescribed time period, the reports said. As per reports, the applicant had filed an application regarding construction of lanes and drains of Patel Nagar Kathua and Municipal Council responded after 46 days.
