| Sham reviews functioning of Jammu hospitals | | | JAMMU, July 14 : Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma convened a monthly meeting of Chief Medical Officers/ Medical Superintendents of Jammu division at conference hall of Directorate of Health services here today.
Director Health Services, Jammu Dr. Madhu Khullar, Director Family Welfare, Director NRHM and Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents, besides others attended the meeting.
The meeting was aimed at to discuss the general administrative issues, review of physical achievements under 20 point programme, Family Welfare achievements and immunization, achievements in Laprolization/NSV for the month of June, 2012. The achievements under flagship programme viz NLEP, RNTCP, NPCB, NMHP NVBDCP, AIDs Control programme were also discussed in the meeting. Director Health Services, Ms. Madu Khullare apprised the Minister about the achievements and other related issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal exhorted upon the CMOs and Medical Superintends of Jammu division to share collective responsibility for the betterment of the department. The minister stressed the need for coordination between Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents and para medical staff for better results. The Minister said that health sector has made good achievements but a lot was yet to be done. He directed the CMOs to take care of their responsibilities and asked to avoid lethargic approach which results in defamation of the department.
On furnishing details to the information seekers under Right to Information Act, the Minister asked the functionaries to ensure that the correct and timely information was provided with due consultation of higher authorities. |
