| PDP holds successive NC regimes responsible for neglect of Poonch-Rajouri | | | Nowshere (Rajouri), July 14 : Expressing his serious concern over lack of basic amenities in hilly areas of Jammu province leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Surinder Choudhary today said that successive National Conference (NC) regimes were responsible for under-development and backwardness of twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri.
Addressing series of public meeting at villages namely Kangri, Deeng, Jhangar, Seot and Laam, Choudhary said that this region remained neglected for decades together because successive NC regimes were never interested to develop this hilly belt. He said that NC leadership has exploited sentiments of the people of this regime just for getting votes but on development front this belt remained neglected.
Party leader regretted that present dispensation headed by Omar Abdullah has failed to follow the path of development and peace which was carved out Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. "Instead of addressing problems of the people this regime has been trying to hoodwink the false promises", he said. |
