NC led Govt shelved all projects of previous coalition in Kargil: PDP | | | early times report Srinagar, July 14 : Peoples Democratic Party today lambasted the government for its alleged inefficiency to reach out to the remote areas for rederessal of general problems faced by the common people. While interacting with various delegations during the visit of Shargool Block including the Skumboo Panchayat and Kachey villages the PDP leaders Nizamudin Bhat MLA, and Senior leader Qazi Mohd Afzal who are on ten day party tour of Kargil district which will conclude on 17th on which party present is scheduled to arrive for two day visit to Kargil. She will address a public meeting on 18th at Kargil also. The leaders said that they were shocked to see the pathetic condition of Aam Aadmi and government's apathy has forced them to live with hard ships. People are facing Ration, Power and water problems, roads are in dilapidated conditions. They were accompanied by Adv Murtaza Khan of Kargil. The leaders were told that the long pending demand of opening of handicraft centers, construction and repairmen of roads, proper water and power supply and a high school in the area have not been fulfilled by the present government besides making hollow promises of equal development and employment opportunities. The leaders expressed their dismay over the shelving of projects by present NC led government which were initiated by previous PDP- Congress coalition for Kargil. They termed it as the callous attitude towards the people of Kargil from the government as the funds allocated for this remote and back ward district has been diverted or lapsed. They said that the projects for development of tourism in the areas too have been shelved even the Kargil festival is not being held to give boost in tourism in the area. The leaders while addressing the pulic meeting at Skamboo village assured the people that they will putforth the genuine demands and problems on both in and out side assembly. On this occasion Sarpanch Murad Ali was also present. |
