Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha to be reconstituted on Aug 21

JAMMU, July 14: Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha today dissolved the existing election committee of the Sabha and resolved to hold a one day long general house meeting on August 21 to elect new executive committee of Sabha. This was announced here today at a Press Conference addressed by many prominent members of the Sabha. The meeting held under the chairmanship of Jagan Nath Sharma reviewed the election process started in the January 2012. The members present in the meeting expressed serious concern over slow pace of membership drive. They also resented that large number of complaints from various members of Brahman community of Jammu province were received against the members regarding their authoritative attitude and misbehavior in conduct of membership drive.
Meeting with one voice dissolved the existing election committee with immediate effect and further decided to hold a long day General House meeting on 21st August 2012 where the election of the new executive committee shall be held. The decision to this effect was taken in the light of appeal made by prominent members of Brahmin fraternity, wherein they had laid stress on holding the general body meeting of the Sabha since they were also not satisfied with the working of the present election committee.
Those present in the meeting included Kasturi Lal Khajuria, President Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha Satwari Mandal, Prof. Davinder Sharma Ex President All India Brahmin Federation, Om Prakash Sharma President Dehati Brahmin Sabha and chief patron DBPS R P Shastri President Dogra Pujari Jyotshi Sangh K K Paroch Retired session judge, Vice President DBPS, GL Sharma Convenor DBPS RS Pura, Deepak Sharma Vice President DBPS Samba, Indeerjeet Khauria Chief Advisior DBPS, Pritam Chand and Ravi Shastri from Udhampur Sh Bharti President Bhagwan Parshu Ram Dal District Udhampur, Mangu Ram Sharma Akhnoor, Dev Raj Sharma Sohanjana, Pooran Chand Sharma Sagoori, Mohan Lal Sharma RS Pura, Jagan Nath Sharma RS Pura.
