| Courts seeks investigation against XEn in corruption case | | |
Jammu, July 14 (JNF) : In a complaint filed by one Yash Pal Sharma partner M/S Open Survey World Construction & Consultancy Firm against Ved Parkash Executive Engineer SEWA HEP Civil Division, Stage-III Basholi and Ors in which the complainant submitted that although the works were executed but despite knowing that the firm had incurred about Rs 1.25 crores, the said Executive Engineer started making lame excuse. On the persistent request of the firm, the said Executive Engineer started making demand of bribe on the pretext that he has to make payment to various senior officers of the office of MD JKSPDC.
The said executive engineer ultimately demanded an amount of Rs 10 lacs as bribe for himself and others. On the request of the complainant he agreed to accept an amount of Rs 1 lac as advance and also agreed to receive rest of the amount on the payment of bills. Since the huge amount of firm was involved and completion of the rest of the work the firm needed money, so under compelling circumstances, there was no option for the firm except to pay of Rs 1 lac to the Executive Engineer which was paid to him in the month of January, 2011. The complainant further submitted that the said executive engineer got the part payment made after accepting bribe amount of Rs 1 lac. It is further submitted that since the firm could not pay the balanced amount, so further payment of the firm stopped and are being intentionally delayed by tossing the payment file from one office to another. The firm again requested for making further payment but the executive engineer is bent upon to his demand of clearing the earlier balance of bribe demanded by him and is making demand of more money for the payment of the bill to the firm and complainant prayed before the Court that his complaint be forwarded to SSP VOJ for registration of a case against Ved Parkash Executive Engineer and Ors.
The court after hearing the parties directed SSP Vigilance Organization Jammu for investigation u/s 156 (3) CrpC. |
