Cong MPs join chorus, hit hard at NC | Where will it end? | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 14: The war of words between Congress and National Conference has now gone beyond the first line leadership. Two Congress MPs have come out to support the General Secretary of JKPCC, Ravinder Sharma who responded to the tirade of NC Additional General Secretary, Dr Mustafa Kamaal last week. The response from Lok Sabha member from the Jammu-Poonch constituency Madan Lal Sharma was a bit mild but Choudhary Lal Singh was harsh. He said Omar Abdullah was a total failure. Singh accused Omar of wasting his time on twitter. "He is ignorant of the ground realities", he said while addressing a meeting at Dhar-Mahanpur yesterday. "He has failed to connect with the people", he said. While hitting hard at Omar, Singh gave vent to his feelings. "The Congress would contest the next Assembly elections under the leadership of Azad. "He (Azad) is the only leader of the state who can do justice to the post of Chief Minister", he said. Sharma spoke at a function held at the Triath, Rajouri. He expressed displeasure over boycott of local MLA and NC supported Panches and Sarpanches. "It is very unfortunate that instead of strengthening the coalition, our coalition partner is trying to further widen the differences", he said. He said the NC leaders had been misleading the Chief Minister. The development has raised questions about the very existence of the coalition. The commoner has a question. Where will it end? |
