Coalition legalizing corruption in State: PDP
7/17/2012 12:27:33 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 16: Lambasting National Conference led coalition regime for betraying people of Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that the state government has failed on all fronts to provide an honest, accountable, efficient and clean administration.
Addressing a meeting of party workers in connection with the foundation day function to be held on August 1, 2012, vice president of PDP and former MP Trilok Singh Bajwa said that legalizing corruption is the only noticeable achievement of this regime as this government has failed to keep a check on corruption in the administration.
Pointing towards recent exposure of corruption cases, Bajwa said that the state government was neck deep in corruption from top to bottom and ministers and other leaders of ruling parties were indulged in accumulating huge wealth by misusing their position.
He regretted that common masses in the state have been struggling with number of problems but the members of the ruling coalition have been using state resources for their personal comforts. "Most of the announcements made by the government to ensure supply of adequate water remains only on papers" he said and added that government seems to be more concerned about hoodwinking the masses by making false promises rather than taking some concerted steps to solve their problems.
Ex MLC Ved Mahajan, Ex Gen Secy Daman Bhasin, Fallail Singh, Hussain Ali Wafa, Bharat Bushan Gupta, Jagjit Singh Jagga, R K Bali, Thakur Suram Singh, Pawan Dev Singh, Rafiq Mlaik, Capt Anil Gour, S Narinder Singh Raina, Avtar Singh Khalsa and others also addressed the meeting.
