Shiv Sena expresses concern over Amaranth Yatris' deaths | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 16: Expressing deep concern and anguish over the increase in number of deaths of Amarnath pilgrims, the Shiv Sena and Dogra Front said today that yet no effective measures were taken either by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) or State Government. Shiv Sena president Ashok Gupta said that the Government's meek response to the increasing casualties to Amarnath Yatris has send a wrong signal through out the country and spoiled the image of the state. He said that a human and a sympathetic approach was taken by Shiv Sena and Dogra Front in the form of providing oxygen cylinder to Amaranth yatris. Gupta has urged Governor N N Vohra and Health Minister Sham Lal to go on spot and see the condition personally. He demanded to depute CRPF and BSF people to manage the yatra and provide doctors of the BSF and CRPF enroute Amar Nath cave shrine.
