Shri Ram Sena expresses grief over loss of lives | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 16: Shri Ram Sena Jammu Kashmir has expressed grief over loss of 15 precious lives of Amarnath yatries in a bus accident that occurred near Ramban yesterday. Shri Ram Sena state president Rajiv Mahajan said that the accident occurred due to the negligence of state government and held the traffic police solely responsible for that. He said if the bus would not have been allowed to move during late night hours, the accident could have been averted. Mahajan urged the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to issue orders to traffic police to not allow any passenger vehicle from 10 pm to 5 am on hilly routes with immediate effect to minimize road accident cases. He said it has been observed that almost maximum number of accidents occur during late night hours, so it is obligatory to ban movement of passenger vehicles on hilly routes from 10 P.M. to 5 A.M. Mahajan further said that government did not think over Machail yatra helicopter fare issue till date which is exorbitant and unjustified. He said Shri Ram Sena time and again has demanded reduction in fare of Machail yatra helicopter service on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and Amarnath yatra pattern, but government did not take into consideration the Machail yatra issue till date. He demanded tendering of helicopter service for Machail yatra also on the pattern of Shri Vaishno Devi and Shri Amarnath yatra. |
