| IGNOU study center starts functioning | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, July 16: A special study centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (Code No.:-12107-D) under aegis of Samriti Rural Care Foundation, Kishtwar (NGO) has started functioning at Atholi in Padder Tehsil of District Kishtwar.
The study centre was inaugurated by Shafkat Hussain DySP KAS(P) who presided over the inaugural function. The function was held at Govt. Higher Secondary School Padder.
Dev Raj Tickoo (Vice Principal, HSS Padder) was a Guest of honor.
Speaking at the function, Chairman, SITE/SRCF Vineet Bhutyal wished that the study centre of IGNOU at Padder will largely benefit people of Padder in general and student's community in particular.
He further called up on the people to enroll their children at the study centre for pursuing higher education which up till now was a distant dream for poor people of the area, as they were not in a position to meet expenses for sending their children to pursue higher studies.
Shafkat Hussain, the Chief Guest of the function congratulated the people of Padder on the eve of opening of Study Center of IGNOU at Padder and asked the people of Padder to avail maximum educational benefits from the said Study Centre. Prominent personalities who participated in the inaugural ceremony are Sandeep Kumar (SHO Padder), Girdhari Lal Sharma, Rajesh Chouhan, Raksh Kumar, Rattan Lal from Padder, Arvind Parihar, Rakesh Sharma , Mool Raj, Lekh Raj , Veena Devi, Amar Singh , Duni Chand, Ram Nath, Bansi Lal Sharma and Kaka Ram Sen from Kishtwar. A large number of men, women and children both from Padder and Kishtwar also attended the function. |
