Bhalla chairs high level meeting of Revenue Officers | Rs.419 crore disbursed among land owners, 12926 kanals land acquired under NH-IA | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, July 16: Stressing on expediting land acquisition process, the Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla has said that land acquisition has direct bearing with the development scenario and infrastructure building in Jammu and Kashmir State. Chairing a high level meeting of Collectors (ADC's and ACRS)of Kashmir Division, the Minister called for pacing up disbursement of compensation to the rightful owners. "No Rightful land owner of land and structures coming in the acquisition process should suffer any longer "he stressed and emphasised upon the senior revenue officers to ensure complete transparency in making the payment to the land owners. The meeting was attended among other by Financial Commissioner, Revenue, and K.B. Aggarwal, Commissioner cum Secretary, Revenue, B.A. Rounyal, Settlement commissioner, L .Z. Deva, Settlement Officer, G.M. Dar ,Additional Commissioner, Kashmir, collectors, SDM's and ACRs and other senior revenue officers. Earlier, the meeting was informed that 12926 kanals of land has been acquired against the target of 20896 kanlas of 226 villages have been handed over to the National Highway-IA authorities and accordingly Rs.419 crores out of the availability of funds Rs.520.65 crores has been disbursed among the land owners. It was further said that under PMGSY, 42417 kanals of land against proposed 54290 kanals of land has been acquired and handed over to the concerned agency. The meeting was told that till date more than Rs.277 crores out of the Rs.428.04 crores amount have disbursed accordingly. |
