Four including two scrap dealers arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 17: Continuing with its special drive against thieves, Jammu Police today worked out a theft case within days of its commission by arresting two thieves and two scarp dealers (receivers) of stolen property and recovered seven water pumping motors. Police spokesperson stated that on July 13, one Avtar Singh S/o Punnu Ram R/o Kothey Saini, Bishnah, Jammu lodged a written report at P/S Bishnah that some unknown persons had stolen water pumping motor from his farm. Police registered a case under FIR No. 97/12 U/S 379/411 RPC at P/S Bishnah and investigation was started. After sustained efforts, Bishnah Police led by SHO SI Jaipaul Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura rounded up a number of suspects and one suspect namely, Tara Chand S/o Milkhi Ram R/o Jakhtu Chak RS Pura spilled the beans. He disclosed that he along with his associate Tara Chand S/o Mohan Lal R/o Bathehra A/P Model Town Digiana had committed the said theft. he also confessed other motor thefts also. On their disclosure police recovered seven water pumping motors so far. Police also had arrested two scrap dealers who used to receive the stolen motors from the thieves who have been identified as Ramveer Kabbadia, Thritha Morh Bari Brahmana and Bhema Sain Kabbadia, Udhamsingh Nagar Digiana.
