| MED-CUM-VET Camp held | | | Jammu 3 February 2007 The Pallanwala Brigade under the aegis of 10 Infantry Division under Operation Sadbhavana organized a med-cum-vet camp in Khour (Akhnoor) on 03 February 2007. The camp was inaugurated by Major General AK Malik, General Officer Commanding Crossed Swords Division and was attended by sarpancehs of nearby villages, local civil functionaries and other prominent persons of the area. Six Army doctors including lady doctors provided treatment to villagers. The Government Medical College, Jammu also responded to his cause and provided with free medicines and immunization. Lectures cum documentaries on family plannings, child health, AIDS, hygiene and sanitation were also organized to create awareness amongst those who attended. Free treatment to animals was also provided by Army veterinary doctors at the location. Approximately 1050 patients including women and children and 950 animals were treated in the medical-cum-veterinary camp, said a PIB (Defence Wing) release. s
