| Protests in Jammu against power cuts | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 18: The city of Jammu today witnessed several protest demonstrations against the day-long power cut which made life miserable for people who are already reeling under blistering heat.
Local people held protest demonstrations at Sheedi Chowk, Purani Mandi, Amphalla and Talab areas shouting anti-government slogans and demanded immediate restoration of power supply.
Traffic movement was restored when police intervened and pacified the people.
The power supply was snapped around 1000 hours today. "There was a snag in grid station that has resulted in snapping of power supply", a Power Development Department (PDD) official said adding that efforts are being made to restore the power supply.
