MIER Coll of Edu reaccredited by NAAC with "A" Grade | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 18: MIER College of Education, Jammu has added another feather to its cap by being reaccredited with "A" Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). According to a communication received from Director, NAAC the MIER College was reaccredited with 'A' grade with a CGPA of 3.54 making it the highest ranking institution in the J&K State on the basis of assessment of the college on quality parameters. MIER College of Education was also accredited earlier by NAAC with 'A' Grade in the year 2006. To reassure its quality benchmark and its unique credentials, the institute volunteered itself for re-accreditation. As a prerequisite for the Re-accreditation process the Self Study Report (SSR) of the college was submitted to the NAAC and fulfilment of all recommendations made by the previous NAAC team were reported. A peer team comprising of Prof Rameshchandra G Kothari (Chairperson), Prof. Smriti Swarup (Member Co-ordinator) and Prof D P Asija (Member) visited the Institution on May 28 and 29 to validate the Self Study Report (SSR). The team went around the college seeing the facilities, the teaching learning process in the classrooms and the documentary evidences. The team also met all stakeholders and interacted with them. Addressing the students and the staff of the institution on the occasion, Dr Arun K Gupta, Chairman MIER Group of Institutions expressed elation and congratulated the Principal Dr Renu Gupta, Joint Director Dr Adit Gupta, all the staff members and students for their immense efforts and dedication to take the college to greater heights. |
