| Narcotics smuggler held with charas, poppy straw | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 18: Udhampur Police today arrested one inter-state supplier of Narcotics along with one Bolero vehicle carrying 3 Kg Poppy Straw and 250 gm charas from Darsoo area of Udhampur. A police party intercepted a Vehicle Bolero No. JK02AB/1529 on way from Udhampur to Manwal side on Dhar Road, on specific tip off and arrested main accused identified as Fareed Ahmed son of Mohd Yousif of Darsoo Tehsil and District Udhampur owner and driver of vehicle while his son identified as Parvez managed to escape giving slip to police party. On searching the Vehicle in the presence of independent witnesses, 3 kg Poppy Straw and 250 gm charas was seized alongwith the vehicle and a case U/S 8/15/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started. |
