Early Times Report
POONCH, July 18: Historic Poonch City is all set to witness the spiritual atmosphere with the chanting of Bam Bam Bhole by pilgrims from July 20 onwards, when the first batch of Budda Amarnath yatris will reach here from all parts of the country.
Though the yatra will start from July 20, still a large number of pilgrims from various parts of the country have had 'darshan' of holy Shiv Lingam from the last one month in addition to regular 'darshans' throughout the year by people from all sections of society. The management committee of Baba Budda Amarnath Trust and Shri Dashnami Akhara Poonch is optimistic of receiving record number of pilgrims this year. Nishu Gupta, President Vishav Hindu Parishad, said that "Adequate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of yatra with the active cooperation of District Administration, Poonch and we are hopeful that Bajrang Dal which is organizing yatra every year will bring more pilgrims to Amarnath shrine this year from various parts of the country" All the arrangements from accommodation of yatris, langar and security related issues have been made by the different organizations associated with the yatra. The Holy Chari Mubarak will leave for Budda Amarnath on July 31 from Dashnami Akhara, Poonch and a huge number of devotees are also expected to join Holy Chari Mubarak Yatra. "The way devotees are regularly visiting the shrine from past some time now is an indication that this year, the yatra will break all records as more than 15,000 pilgrims already had the blessings of Baba Barfani" said, Vishav Nath Sharma, who is looking after the affairs of Baba Budda Amarnath Trust.
