Marketing checking squad conducts surprise checking | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, July 18: In order to check the black marketing ahead of holy month of Ramzan, special marketing squad comprising Tehsildar Kishtwar Inderjeet Singh Parihar, Dy.SP HQ Kishtwar, Abrar Ahmed Chowdhary, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Kishtwar Abdul Lateef, SHO Police Station Kishtwar, Mushtaq Ahmed and officials of CAPD Kishtwar conducted surprise market checking and collected a fine of Rs. 4800 from the violators. During surprise market checking, the officials sealed three shops for selling mutton and chicken on inflated rates. Two shopkeepers were also booked for violating the rate list and unhygienic conditions in their shops. Both were later released after they gave written assurance that they will sell their products as per the approved rate list. All the shopkeepers were asked to sell the products in accordance to the rate list issued by the district administration. People informed the members of checking squad that Chicken is being sold @180/Kg & Mutton @ 220 instead of Rs.135/Kg and 180/Kg fixed by the administration. Both Tehsildar Kishtwar and Dy.SP HQ Kishtwar warns the mutton sellers of stern action in case they continued to violate the government rate list and a strict massage was conveyed to them that their licenses will be cancelled in case they receive any fresh complaint from the people. The market checking squad also destroyed the unhygienic vegetables and imposed fine on the vegetable seller. Hotels around bus stand Kishtwar and its adjoining areas were also checked. All the hotel owners were advised not to use any domestic gas cylinders in hotels. Tehsildar Kishtwar urged the people to lodge written complaint with him in case any shopkeeper overcharged them. |
