| Kranti Dal alleges corruption under MNREGA in Ramsoo | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 18: Kranti Dal alleged that there is heavy irregularities and corruption in 100 days work under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) in block Ramsoo of district Ramban.
On the direction of State general secretary Pritam Sharma, a Kranti Dal team led by district president Ramban, Anoop Singh visited block Ramsoo to know about irregularities and corruption in Ramsoo.
Issuing a press statement here today, Pritam Sharma said that there are 38 panchayats in block Ramsoo of district Ramban. All the panchayats are facing problems like corruption and irregularities in 100 days work under MNREGA.
The work is done on the basis of heavy commissions by the employees in Rural Development Deptt. The statement further said that while there are irregularities in issuing Job cards, the people are finding it difficult to get the same in the absence of an approach.
Anoop Singh alleged that the Block Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for all the irregularities. |
