Rehbar-e-Ziarat (REZ) call on Agriculture Minister | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 18: Jammu and Kashmir Agricultural Technocrats met Jb. Ghulam Hassan Mir at Civil Secretariat, Jammu first time today after agitations regarding amendment of the Cabinet decision. The Agricultural Technocrats called off their strike on assurance from Chief Minister Jb. Omar Abdullah that his Govt. will work out solution of their demands of amendments of Cabinet decision for the regularization of REZ after 55 days of Fast unto death was called off on the intervention of Chief Minister Jb. Omar Abdullah and he appointed Advisor to Chief Minister, Jb. Mubarak Gul as a Ambassador to break the fast unto death who visited the spot of dharna at Mubarak Mandi, Jammu and on the behalf of Chief Minister Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir. Delegation was headed by Surinder Radotra, Chief of Rehbar-i-Ziarat. The three point agenda discussed in the meeting was that the time period of regularization of Rehbar-a-Ziarats will be reduced, that the stipend will be increased up to basic salary and that the regularization will be considered on the basis of seniority (batchwise). Agriculture Minister Mir assured full assurance for amendment of Cabinet decision for the regularization of Rehbar-e-Ziarat and recommendations to Agriculture Production Department, Planning, Finance for the finding out ways to remove the anomaly and give justice to the Rehbar-e-Ziarat members and again said however, government has fully sympathetic towards Agriculture Technocrats and is working out for some pragmatic and feasible solution to the issue. The members who were invited for the meeting included Maneet Singh Dr. Jyoti Chib, Dr. Vishal Manhas, Pawan Bali (Rajouri) Joginder (Kathua) Vinod( Kathua) Abhimaman Mahajan, Sakinder. |
