Tak's remand extended, Police to scrutinize family's bank lockers | Laila Khan Murder case | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar July 19:- A Mumbai Additional Metropolitan Court today extended the police custody of Parvaiz Iqbal Tak accused in murder of Bollywood starlet Laila Khan and her family. A team of Mumbai Crime Branch today produced Tak before Additional Metropolitan Judge and demanded for extension in custody of Tak by 7 days, but the judge agreed to extend the custody by 4 days and directed the Crime Branch Mumbai to produce him again in the court on 23rd of July 2012. Parvaiz Iqbal Tak, a native of Bhunzwah village in Kishtwar District was arrested by Kishtwar police on 21 June 2012 when he was returning from Nepal and handed over his custody to Mumbai Crime Branch on July 7 after Munsif Court Kishtwar granted 4 days transit remand of Tak in their favour. Meanwhile according to sources, Mumbai Crime branch will open three bank lockers of the actress and her family, beside will also scan the bank accounts of the family members. The sources said that the aim and objective of opening of bank lockers of the family and scanning bank accounts is to check other motives if any behind the killing of the six family members. As per reports, Laila Khan and her family possessed huge cash and jewelry and Mumbai Crime branch wants to check the exact quantity of the jewelry and also the cash since the reports from various quarters were emerging that the deceased actress had links with underworld and hawala rackets operating in Mumbai from Gulf countries. The sources said that opening of Laila’s and her family bank lockers can add new dimensions in murder case of actress and her family. The sources said that Mumbai Crime branch team also plans to visit Jammu and Kashmir top check the details from local hospital in state where Tak had undergone treatment for his injuries which he got while murdering Laila Khan and her family. The sources said that Mumbai Crime branch is in the process of producing the hospital record as evidence before court while prosecuting Tak for six murders.
