PDP leadership urges party cadre to make Foundation day a great success

JAMMU, July 19: Jammu & Kashmir People Democratic Party (PDP) today held a meeting to review the preparedness and arrangements for the forthcoming celebrations to mark foundation day of the party which falls on July 28 and is observed on August 1 at Ramlila Ground Gandh inagar. The party leaders urged the party cadre to put its best to make it a success.
In a meeting held under the leadership of party Sectory Falail Singh and PDP Jammu Distt President R K Bali and Jammu Distt Vice President Vikram Singh the participants discussed full agenda for their annual day function at Ram Lila Ground Gandhi Nagar on August 1.
The meeting was called to discuss detailed programme for commemoration of party's foundation day on July 28 and it was further decided to hold the public rally in Jammu on Aug 1, in which party workers, sympathizers and general public from all over Jammu would participate in large number. Recalling from the past, Falail Singh said the PDP which was founded in 1999 with immediate purpose of relieving the people of the state of the pain inflicted by an insensitive system had evolved into a viable forum for resolution. He said with time, experience and inputs from public the party has now an agenda which is being followed by everyone aimed for the welfare of people and peace in the state. R K Bali urged his party members to create a better awareness about its agenda not only within the state but in rest of the country as well. In order to give the people of this state a better representation in administration and governance the ratio in central services needs to be renegotiated.
While Addressing the members present in meeting Vikram Singh said the process of disempowerment of the state was unfortunately continuing under various NC dispensations. "After the water and power resources the NC sold out even the JK Bank which is now showing its adverse effects in the shape the cash crunch the state is facing, he alleged.
Among prominent party leaders who participated in the meeting included Rashid Malik , Avtar Singh, Captain Vikram Gour, Surinder Choudhary , Susheela Jamwal, Rashpal Singh ,Chaman Angral and others.
