DYSS holds Taekwondo camp at Rajouri

RAJOURI, July 19: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) organized a week-long Taekwondo training programme at Sports Stadium here under the supervision of district officer, Ajaz Khan.
The initiative was taken by the DYSS to promote martial art among young boys and girls of the district. Necessary equipments were also provided for the smooth conduct of the coaching camp.
The basic training was provided to the campers by Physical Education Teacher (PET) and NIS qualified in Taekwondo, Atul Pangotra. Local trained individuals of Rajouri were also involved in the training.
Besides Taekwondo, young sports enthusiasts were also trained in other martial arts disciplines of Wushu, Kick Boxing and Sqae. In the closing ceremony all the campers, their parents and prominent people were present. They appreciated the initiative of district officer, Ajaz Khan.
Speaking to the gathering, Khan thanked Director DYSS, Jai Pal Singh, Deputy Director Jammu, Ashok Kumar and DYSSO Jammu, Tirath Ram for their support in holding the training camp.
