Amateur Theatre Group's theatre workshop begins | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 19: "An Actor Prepares" a five week long theatre workshop being organized by Amateur Theatre Group (ATG), in collaboration with National School of Drama (NSD), got underway here today. The workshop is being conducted by Ifra Kak. The chief guest on the occasion was Director Jammu Doordarshan Shabir Mujahid while the function was presided over by Padmshree Moti Lal Kemmu and guest of honour was Ramesh Mehta, Former Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages. They congratulated Ifra Kak on her new venture and said that she has the distinction of being the first woman theatre director of the state. Her rich experience in theatre at a young age will benefit the participants immensely. This workshop will go a long way in strengthening the theatre movement in J&K State, they said. Speaking on the occasion Mushtaq Kak, the Director of ATG paid rich tributes to the first superstar of Bollywood Rajesh Khanna said that this workshop will provide a unique opportunity to all the particulars to learn the finer nuances of acting, design, stagecraft and diction. Eminent theatre experts from the state outside will be invited as guest faculty to enrich the overall experience of participants, he said. |
