ASCOMS Employees to go on strike in favour of their demands | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 19: ASCOMS Employees Welfare Association held its meeting under the chairmanship of Ravinder Slathia association President during which participants decided to start agitation in support of their long pending demands which are pending for the last 9 months. Participants in the meeting highlighted that the employees welfare association had already submitted charter of demand on 4/10/2012 for hike benefit to all NOs and helpers w.e.f April 2010 and to extend benefits to all those employees who have completed 7 and 10 years service and also re-designed to helpers as Asst Operator. Speakers said that they had written so many letters and also during talks with management requested to concede the demands. "And through a letter dtd 9/7/2012, the association has served 15 days notice to accept the demand failing which there is no alternative but to start agitation as per trade union provision, they added. Meanwhile speakers appealed ASCOMS Sidhra Management to concede to the genuine demands of low paid employees after holding positive talks with the association representatives so that the association is forced to go for agitation course. Among prominent union leaders who spoke on the occasion included Laxman Ravinder Singh (Sr Leader of BMS), Ravinder Slathia ( President) and Sanjay Sharma. |
