| Displaying honesty : GRP jawan hands over lost valet to owner | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 20: Exhibiting dutifulness and rare example of honesty, GRP Jawan who found a valet containing cash and valuables submitted the same to his seniors which later was handed over to the owner
Police said, "Sgt Ashu Pandita (No 166/GRPJ) at Railway Station Jammu found a purse on railway station during duty and handed over by him to his senior officer. "The purse containing an amount of Rs.9596/- and some valuable documents like driving license, ATM card of PNB , and RC of vehicle, which was later on handed over to owner Amit Kumar S/O Narinder R/O Maya Puri New Delhi," spokesperson said. The honesty and dutifulness of the Sgt was highly appreciated for honesty by his superior officers of GRP Jammu, spokesperson added.
Meanwhile GRP personnel following reports that polythene bags are being transported from Jammu Railway Station laid a surprise raid and recovered 51 Kgs Polythene bags from train Tata Morie at Railway Station Kathua. "Appreciation the work of GRP personnels, the IGP Railways J&K Srinagar A Q Manhas has sanctioned CC Ist along with cash reward in their favour, spokesperson added. |
