AIHGWA executives call on protesting home guards | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 20 : R Ramesh Sahli National Chairman of All Indian Home Guard Welfare Association (AIHGWA) New Delhi accompanied with A K Mishra Vice President of the association today met Jawans of J&K Home Guard who are sitting on protest in support of their demands at Mubarak Mandi Complex opposite to the erstwhile office location of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu. Spokesperson of J&K Home Guards Welfare Association stated that the volunteers sitting on protest apprised the visiting trade unionists with their problems including that J&K Home Guard are getting their wages only for few days in a month and are getting their wages only for few days in a month and are getting only Rs 545/- as monthly honorarium despite performing their duties round the clock like other belt forces jawans. They underlined that with this peanut honorarium the Jawans of J&K Home Guards are facing it difficult for them to make their both ends particularly when price of essential commodities is growing with each passing day. The visitors listened to their issues and assured that they will take up issues to concerned quarters. |
