Govt, PDD responsible for power deficit: SSH

Jammu, July 21 : The Jammu and Kashmir State government as well as the Power Development Department (PDD) is responsible for the power deficit in Jammu region.
This was stated by Shiv Sena Hindustan, (SSH) Rajesh Kesri during a protest demonstration held here today. The protest was held by SSH under the leadership of State President, Rajesh Kesri.
Addressing the protestors, Kesri said that there is no government in state to listen the grievances of people who are protesting against the prolong power cuts in Jammu region.
He further alleged that despite the fact Jammu region is generating more revenue for the PDD as compared to Srinagar region but still more power is supplied in valley then Jammu region.
Kesri said, the government has failed to fulfill its promise to supply round the clock power supply in metered areas but the power cuts are still continue in the metered areas.
On one hand government claimed that it is ready to bring industry in state as conversation are on with some big companies who are interested to invest in state, but on other hand government failed to supply power to already existing and ailing industry in Jammu.
The organization has warned Government as well as PDD to provide regular power supply in Jammu region otherwise the Sena activists would be forced to come on roads in favor of their demands. Among other participated in the protest were Vikrant Kapoor, Parveen Gupta, Dinesh Mahajan, Rajesh Honda, Kuldeep Mahajan, Raj Kumar, Somnath and Deep Kumar.
