| Vehicle lifter held, stolen vehicles recovered | | | | Jammu, July 21: Sarwal Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen two wheelers following his disclosures here today. Police sources said that raids are in progress in the outskirts of city after the disclosure of the thief arrested by Sarwal police but till now, police has seized two stolen motorcycles. "Identified as Rakesh Kumar, the vehicle lifter was arrested by Incharge Police Post Sarwal Ravi Singh Parihar in the Sarwal area on some suspicion. During questioning he broke down and confessed his criminal activities in the area, police said. Police said, "The thief during interrogation told that he used to changed the registration numbers of the stolen vehicles.' "The lists of the engine numbers of seized vehicles has been prepared to dispatch the same to the RTO Jammu to know the original Registration Numbers of the seized vehicles, police sources maintained, adding, more recoveries and arrests likely, police added. |
