| Rs. 14.31 cr expended on District and Sub-District Hospitals Bla and Sopore | | | Baramulla, February 03 The new District Hospitals of Baramulla and Sub District Hospital, Sopore coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 57.97 crore of which OPD blocks have been completed while as IPD block foundation work is in progress. An amount of Rs. 14.31 crore have been incurred on the construction of both the Hospitals till November 2006, besides under Prime Ministers Reconstruction Programme for earthquake work to the tune of Rs. 98.43 lakh has also been taken up. This was stated today at a meeting of health officers Baramulla presided over by District Development Commissioner Baramulla. It was given out that on the construction of PHC, Ashitingoo, Tujer-sharief and Shrakwara coming up at a total cost of Rs. 45.14 crore the expenditure incurred till November 2006 is to the tune of Rs. 2.46 crore besides on Sub District Hospital Bandipora and 30 bedded Trauma Hospital at Pattan being constructed at a cost of Rs. 29.44 crore, Rs. 1.20 crore have been incurred. It was further told that for PHC’s Dangiwacha, Boniyar, Chandenwari, Noorkhia and Shrakwara ambulances were also provided and equipments such as operational lights, USG machines, Dental unit, X-ray, Operational tables were provided to block Gurez, Uri, SDH Chandoosa and PHC’s Panzala, Bijhama, Khaitangan and Sheeri. Two medical blocks for Sheeri and Kunzer were also created. |
