BJP alone can ensure safe future: Manhas
`Coalition partners misled people'
7/22/2012 11:02:35 PM
Early Time Report
Jammu , July 22 : The people of the state got trapped and misled by the hollow promises of NC and Congress and returned the candidates of these parties in the assembly to run the government with the high hopes of ending their miseries and solving problems. Unfortunately, the coalition government has shown least concern about the welfare of the people. This was alleged by BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas while welcoming over three dozen Sikh youth into the party fold who joined BJP under the leadership of S. Gurdyal Singh Bali.
Manhas said there are no jobs for educated unemployed youth. Acute shortage of drinking water and 12-14 hour power cuts have become a daily routine. Roads of whole Jammu city have been converted into land of debris and the safety of the people left at the mercy of NBCC.
He was flanked by State Press Secretary Balbir Ram, Distt Jammu President Rajesh Gupta and Distt. General Secretaries Jaideep Sharma and Mohan Singh Rana. Manhas said whether permanent employees, daily wagers, adhoc employees, unemployed youth, women, farmers, pensioners, refugees, migrants, SCs, STs, OBCs, every one is suffering while State Chief Minister, his colleagues, bureaucrats-all are enjoying luxuries of life at the cost of public exchequer. There are no jobs for educated unemployed youth. Manhas said that the BJP has always been agitating for the rights of people besides making sacrifices for the full integration of the state with the rest of the country. He said today people from all walks of life have realized that their survival and welfare of future generations will only be safe if BJP is strengthened. "It is due to this change in the mindset of the people that more and more people are joining our party. During the last few months, thousands of people in different parts of the state embraced BJP, BJP Mahila , BJP Yuva Morcha, BJP Kissan Morcha, SC Morcha and other organs. He declared that the party will continue to work for the masses", he said. S. Gurdyal Singh Bali said that the youth of the state has now realized that the Kashmir-centric regional parties and the Congress, are the faces of same coin. Be it NC or PDP, their core constituency has been Kashmir and Jammu or Ladakh has no place in their scheme of things. The stoic silence on part of the Congress on discrimination with Jammu and its youth is more dangrous. 'we have joined BJP today as this party has proved its credentials by continuous struggle for the masses, including youth", said Bali. Amit Pal Singh, Teeraj Singh, Pritam Singh, Harvinder Singh, Harmeet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Surjeet Kumar, Aitpal Singh, Harjeet Singh, Tarlok Singh, Pritam Singh, Paramjit Singh, Jagdish Singh, Vakil Singh, Ramdev Singh, Rajan Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Shakti Pal Singh, Rajbir Singh and Jasbir Singh Sodhi were prominent among those who joined BJP on the occasion.
