| Congress demands compensation for Kishtwar fire victims | | Sanatan Dharam Sabha calls on DC Kishtwar | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, July 22:- Congress Committee Kishtwar held an emergency meeting at Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Thakur Jugal Bhandari State Secretary Congress and expressed their great sorrow over the loss of the property including residential complex and shops in a fire incident during the intervening night of 18th and 19th July. The fire spread in no time as a result of which the victims failed even to save a single penny.
Bhandari has urged the coalition government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to sanction at least 5 lacs to each fire suffer in cash under rehabilitation plan so that they can rebuilt their residential houses and business establishment sto start their life afresh.
In another statement issued by Sanathan Dharam Sabha Kishtwar, A deputation of the organization under the Chairmanship of Swami Raj Parihar, President met Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar and impressed upon the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to help the fire victims immediately by providing them free timber, GI Sheets, ration and blankets on the pattern of Kashmir fire victims. Poor arrangements of fire service department were also discussed during the meeting. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar after giving patient hearing to them has given them full assurance to help the victim at large scale. |
