Ensure best results on ground: Dy. CM to officers | Rs. 93.43 Cr. Annual Plan for Udhampur | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, July 23: A plan allocation of Rs.93.43 crore for district Udhampur has been approved for the financial year 2012-13 at the District Development Board meeting chaired by the Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand here today. The approved outlay includes Rs. 37.14 crore as revenue and Rs. 56.29 crore as capital component respectively. Vice Chairman, J&K State Kissan Welfare Advisory Board, Kr. Rachpal Singh, Vice Chairman, J&K State Board for welfare of G&B, B. A Naz, Vice Chairman, J&K State Board for welfare of SCs, Swaran Lata, Legislatures, Harshdev Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia, K.C. Bhagat, Baldev Sharma, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur- Reasi range, Jagjit Kumar, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, P.K Pole, Heads of various departments and district officers were present in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister exhorted upon the officers to put in their sincere and dedicated efforts in proper utilization of funds by ensuring time bound completion of development works in a transparent manner. The Deputy CM directed the officers to conduct frequent visits of remote and hilly areas to monitor the development works pertaining to their departments so that best results could be ensured on ground with no compromise on the quality of works. For the purpose, he asked the District Development Commissioner to hold fortnightly review meetings of different departments for accessing the progress of different schemes being executed for the welfare of the common masses. He also instructed him to conduct surprise visits at different locations of the district to ascertain the quality of works on weekly basis and accordingly fix up responsibilities upon those officers who fail to maintain the quality of works. He also complimented the MLAs and Vice Chairmen of different boards for highlighting the problems and demands of their respective jurisdictions in an effective manner. He assured them full cooperation to redress the grievances of the people of their areas in a phased manner. He also appreciated them for helping the government in the execution of various developmental projects in their respective areas. Speaking on the occasion, MLA, Harsh Dev Singh said that basic aim of the board meeting was to review the performance of last year's achievements and to prepare a road map for implementation of different schemes for current year. |
