| CEO ERA assesses ongoing Sewerage projects | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 23: Chief Executive Officer J&K ERA, Saurabh Bhagat conducted a comprehensive inspection of various ongoing Sewerage works being executed by J&K ERA in Jammu west constituency taken up under Tranche-I of ADB Loan 2. He impressed upon concerned engineers and consultants to ensure timely completion of all sewerage projects. CEO inspected the 30 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant at Bhagwati Nagar, being executed at an estimated cost of Rs. 28.60 lacs. He was apprised that 80% civil works and 50% machinery works have been completed till date and the remaining works are going on as per schedule to achieve completion within target date of 30th November 2012.
CEO also inspected the Sewer line works in three packages in progress in Shakti Nagar, Bakshi Nagar, Patoli and Janipur areas including road restoration. It was informed that the work of Package- 1st shall be completed by December 31 2013 and that of packages 2nd and 3rd on scheduled date. The likely cost of completion of sewer line works shall be Rs. 106.74 lakh. Strict instructions were issued by CEO to Design and Supervision Consultants (DSCs) to ensure quality control by regular monitoring besides taking all safeguard measures. He also emphasized that restoration work should be accorded priority so that minimum inconvenience is caused to the common man. The CEO ERA was accompanied by Director (Central) Khalid Muzaffar, Director (Safeguards) Vinod Sharma and Project Manager S.L. Kapoor along with other officers during the tour to various sites. |
