| Prof Neelam Saraf takes over as First Lady DAA, JU | | |

Jammu, July 23: Prof Neelam Saraf, Senior University of Jammu Academician today took over as the first lady Dean of Academic Affairs of University of Jammu at an impressive ceremony in presence of Vice Chancellor Prof\ Mohan Paul Singh Ishar. Prof Saraf succeeds Prof. RD Sharma who has recently been appointed as Chairman of BOPEE. Wishing Prof Saraf all success in her new assignment Prof Ishar hoped that her taking over as the Dean of academic affairs shall enthuse a renewed sense of confidence among the academic fraternity of the University. Prof Ishar also conveyed good wishes to the outgoing Dean Prof RD Sharma for his new assignment as Chairman BOPEE. Speaking on the occasion Prof Saraf extended her gratitude to the Vice Chancellor and her university colleagues for the Honour and support bestowed upon her and assured them of all cooperation from her side. Soon after taking over Prof Neelam Saraf convened a meeting of the officers of Dean office and reviewed the progress of various academic programmes and the ongoing admissions to various PG courses. It is pertinent mention here that prior to taking over as DAA, Prof Neelam has served as Dean of Oriental Studies, Dean of Languages, Head Department of Hindi, Coordinator Kashmir University cell, Chairperson Of Committee against Sexual Harassment of Women , member Syndicate ,JU and Director Academic Staff College . Among others present on the occasion included Prof Naresh Padha, Dr Meenakshi Kilam Prof. Ramnika Jalali, Prof Jasbir Singh Dr Jai Kumar Sharma, Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Dr DL Choudhary,Dr Anju Thappa, Ranjeet Kalra, Khempal Singh, Satya Bhushan and officers of the Dean Academic affairs office. |
