Non skilled workers to be paid upto Rs 10000 monthly : BMS | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 23: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) today has demanded from state government to fix the monthly honorarium of non-skilled workers upto Rs 10000 as they are facing hardship to make boths ends to meet due to ever rising prices of essential commodities. During a meeting held here today in Jammu, the speakers from various organizations affiliated to Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh demanded from the state govt. to revise minimum wages immediately and fix Rs. 10000 pm for unskilled workers due to high prices of essential commodities. The participants and speakers also demanded to make proper records coverage under ESI and EPF scheme, payment of bonus to all workers. Besides this they alleged administrative machinery looting and exploiting the workers by committing illegality and not performing their duty properly and protecting their own interests at the cause of poor workers. They further demanded to call tripartite state labour advisory board meeting immediately so that in that forum grievances of workers can be redressed. The worker who are working in the core activities and on permanent and regular job are being taken by labour supplier be stopped and also stop to 12 hours duty as it ends in health hazards. |
