| Kamaal gets thrashing from Qureshi | | `NC can do anything for power' | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 23: Allegations against PDP patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has won National Conference additional general secretary, Dr Mustafa Kamaal severe criticism from PDP leader HD Qureshi. Qureshi said Kamaal had lost balance of mind. "He has crossed all limits and gone mad in the lust of power that has exposed his frustration.
He expressed surprise that Kamaal was distorting historic facts. NC remained the part and parcel of every political system at Centre and even shared power with BJP Government under Atal Bihari Vajpayee when Omar Abdullah was part of Government as MoS of Foreign Affairs.
"Right from 1947 it remained in the corridors of powers in New Delhi. The National Conference can forge alliance with Congress, BJP, Shiv Sena, Communists and even RSS to stay in power", he said. The PDP leader expressed surprise when Kamaal blamed Advani for the conspiracies against National Conference which is nothing but a misleading statement only to divert the attention of people from the large scale corruption, misdeeds and scams of ruling alliance in the State. Qureshi said that it is a matter of shame that everybody knows the business relations of Advani with Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Dr. Kamaal is talking of secret funds to PDP leadership for establishment of PDP in the State as an alternative to NC.
He elaborated that the history of NC is itself evident that the party has no tolerance against its political rivals and its top leadership has eliminated the great leaders right from 1947 and crushed their democratic voice with the connivance of ruling classes at Centre.
He said that the outburst of Dr. Kamaal against PDP and its chief patron is nothing but the outcome of severe frustration. "PDP is gaining popularity in all the regions of the State. The era of domination of NC is over", he said.
He informed the gatherings that it is a matter of satisfaction that the time has given a great leadership to the State and the PDP is fighting for the rights of people under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti. He warned the NC leadership especially the leaders like Dr. Kamaal to desist from such baseless propaganda in future. |
