| Vanmahotsva celebrated in BSF School | | | early times report
Jammu, July 25 : Today BSF School celebrated Vanma-hotsva in the school campus. It is celebrated every year to create awareness in the young minds of the students towards our environment and to inculcate the feeling of respect for the planet earth. The chief guest DIG/PSO BSF Fr. HQ. N S Jamwal & DIG (Prov) B S Patiyal along with the Principal Dr. S S Khokhar and other dignatories planted few saplings speaking on the occasion the chief guest Sh N S Jamwal stressed the growing need to preserve our environment. He said, "One impulse from the vernal wood may teach you more of man; of moral evil and of good than all the sages can". He also appreciated the efforts of Dr S S Khokhar the principal BSF school for inculcating general awakening towards environment among the students with the celebrations of such events. Apart from tree plantation, environmental rally of more than 500 students with teachers was also taken out in the BSF campus. Signature campaign, slogan writing competition, chanting of mantras by five Gods representing the five elements of life also marked the occasion.
Vanmahotsva celebration reached its climax with the more then 1500 students along with their teachers planting the sapling. School calendar was also released by DIG/PSO BSF Fr. HQ. N S Jamwal & DIG (Prov) B S Patiyal on this auspicious occasion. Dr S S Khokhar addressed the students and the staff. He said that with great duties comes great responsibilities. And it is the duty of students that the saplings planted today grow to their fullest and are taken well care of. |
