Govt trying to divert attention from corruption, mis-governance: AJKMPJ | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 25: All J&K Movement for Peace and Justice (AJKMPJ) said that the Central and State governments want to divert the attention of the general public from the basic issues of corruption and mis-governance and are not ready to enact Jan Lok Pal bill. The AJKMPJ members expressed concern that government / CBI are working against all moral principles by shielding those ministers and bureaucrats against whom cases are pending and not sanctioning permission to prosecute them while victimizing the honest, out-spoken and fearless persons adding that the government and CBI do not lose even the slightest time to sanction permission of prosecution against them. The government only announces in public meetings and in conferences that "Corruption is the enemy of development, and of good governance" but in practical it opposes the Jan Lokpal Bill. They want to keep PM and CBI out side of its purview. The need of the hour is to introduce Strong Lok Pal at the centre and Lokayukta in J&K and bringing back black money from foreign banks in the interest of the general public. The members who spoke on the occasion include Deep Singh, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Dr G S Charak, Gurtaj Singh, SN Saproo and others. |
