| Response course for SDRF personnel concludes | | | JAMMU, July 25: A month long State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) First Response Course which commenced at Battalion Headquarters, Jammu on June 25 concluded here today. An impressive valedictory function was organised on the concluding day of the course of the 2nd batch of the trainees wherein Sham Lal Sharma, Dy. Inspector General of Police HG/CD and SDRF Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion. On the occasion, Ghulam Sarwar Chauhan, Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu (Course Director) and S K Bakshi, Dy SP (Course Coordinator) facilitated the brief resume and other details of the course.
Out of a total of 86 trainees, the first three position holders were distributed the certificates of merit and cash reward by the Chief Guest.
The purpose of the Course was to prepare the Jawans of the recently declared SDRF to meet any eventually arising out of any natural or manmade disasters in a better and technical way. |
