Commissioner of Income Tax visits Udhampur office | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 25: A K Thatai Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K Circle today visited Income Tax office, Udhampur. During his visit a number of delegations led by various head of trading community organizations met him and apprised him about their problems. Officials spokesperson from Udhampur stated that this was the maiden visit of Commissioner Income Tax J&K circle to Udhampur office since he took over the charge as CIT, J&K. "A delegation of traders representing Associated Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Udhampur led by Shyam Kalsotra called on him and apprised him about various problems being faced by the traders at Udhampur, statement said adding, "trading community discussed problems including the posting of regular ITO and speedy issuance of refunds. The commissioner of Income Tax gave a patient hearing to the grievances of the traders and assured them that these problems shall be addressed at the earliest. Besides business community delegation, the representatives of Tax Bar Association of Udhampur, led by of CA, Anil Verma President, Kuldeep Khajuria, Secretary also called on Commissioner Income Tax. During discussions Commissioner Income Tax informed that department is in the process of constructing a new office -cum-residential premises in Udhampur for which land has already been identified in the town and hoped that new office building shall be constructed within two years. Besides this necessary steps are being taken to modernize the Income Tax Office at Udhampur so that best possible facilities can be provided to the tax payers.
