NC using community for 'settling score' with PDP…?
Bakaya- Murtaza 'fight': Reactions from KPs uncalled for….!

early times report
Jammu, July 25: Dust is gradually settling over the 'uncalled for' controversy raised over the heated arguments or may be a small fight between the legislators of two rival parties NC and PDP few days back . Ironically, the reactions that followed were not only unwarranted but also from 'unexpected' quarters and irrelevant individuals which turned the otherwise significant issue having vital political ramifications on account of some basic and inherent flaws in the land acquisition procedure . Thanks to politics of provocations which was the motive behind raking up such reactions at the community level in favour of NC legislator.
The fight between PDP's Murtaza Khan and NC's Vijay Bakaya on July 18 over an issue under discussion of a Legislative Council House Committee was purely a matter between the two senior legislators and the heated arguments were purely on account of some differences in the view point on some vital aspect. This is something in routine seen in the meetings of House committees which have members of different parties on board in order to take broad and impartial cognizance of any issue for which these are formed. In that backdrop the issue neither warranted statements loaded with heavy words from the NC leadership against Murtaza Khan nor any reactions from the Kashmiri Pandit community.
It is just a matter of coincidence that the legislators who entered into heated arguments were from two rival parties NC and PDP . This is also a matter of coincidence that the two MLCs belong to two communities. And ironically the issue over which differences erupted were in no way related to any community or the NC leadership at all. However, it dawned upon the NC leadership after four days that the conduct of the PDP MLC was 'unparliamentary', may be too harsh towards the MLC of their party , something which they have taken serious exception to. In that sense , even then the issue needed not to be raked up so loudly by the party . If at anything in context of conduct of the PDP MLC on unparliamentary lines, it should have been seen more as a matter of breach of privilege.
The statements loaded with ritualistic condemnations by the leaders of Minority Community cell too were uncalled for as it was not a matter concerning Bakaya in capacity of the Pandit MLC. The reactions from Kashmiri Pandit individuals only looked ridiculous and irrelevant and made no sense the other day, no matter in the collective statement they (few of them known names from various fields) had concluded that it should not be viewed from the sectarian angle. The moot question that remains is that why Kashmir Pandit leaders or activists in individual capacity get entrapped into the invisible strategy of 'using them' by any political party for hitting out or harming the rival party…..?
