| PDP holds protest against erratic power, water supply | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 26: In protest against Government's 'wrong policies' responsible for prevailing power and water crisis, Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) held a strong protest demonstration near Press Club today Jammu.
Protesting against PDD and PHE, the PDP leaders said that both the department have totally failed in all aspects
Led by Vikram Singh, the PDP activists raised slogans against the Government for over eight hours cut by PDD and failure of PHE to provide regular water supply in Jammu city and its outskirts. They demanded proper power supply and potable water in Jammu city.
Vikram Singh said there is continuous unscheduled power cuts which make the common men sick as summer season is at its peak.
They warned PHE Minister to ensure the staff to provide clean water to the people in old city otherwise PDP workers will march towards the PHE Minister’s house and later he will be responsible for that.
Singh warned the PDD authorities not to test the patience of the people and demanded ensure regular supply of electricity.
He said that several areas in the city are fully metered but still people are not supplied regular power which speaks how much the PDD keeps its promise of round the clock electricity supply.
