| Seminar on 'Drug Abuse & illicit Trafficking' organised | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 26: One day seminar on the topic 'Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking' was organized by the NSS Unit of GGM Science College Jammu here today.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Jammu-Kathua range JP Singh was the chief guest while Manu Arora Senior Psychiatrist Govt Medical College Jammu was the resource person of the seminar.
Number of faculty members along with NSS Volunteers of the college participated in the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College Satinder Singh advised the students to work against this menace as it is eating the vital roots of the society.
He said that youth are the most exposed class to drug addiction and they have the power to eradicate this menace.
Manu Arora gave the overview about root cause of this evil and its consequences J.P Singh explained the role of administration in checking this curse and advised the students to be vigilant against all those evils which are destroying the society in one or the other way. Two NSS Volunteers Naureen and Manpreet Kaur also expressed their views on the topic. |
