Rs. 10 crore utilized under education sector in Kupwara

To promote education sector, Rs. 10 crore have been expended against an availability of Rs. 13.95 crore in Kupwara district upto ending December last.
This was stated at a meeting of Education Officers convened to review educational scenario in the district as also the implementation of various schemes under this sector with District Development Commissioner in chair.
Director School Education, Kashmir Mr. Mohammad Rafi also attended the meeting.
It was given out that under SSA, Rs. 13.94 crore have been utilized on construction of 235 school buildings while 198 Primary Schools were opened in the district. Over Rs. 21 lakh have been provided as scholarship to 1400 students belonging to Gujar and Bakerwal community.
It was impressed upon the teaching community to perform their duty with added zeal and devotion to bring about change in the educational scenario.
