Education Sector on priority agenda of government: Jugal

Minister for Rural Development Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma has lauded the role of private educational institutions for imparting quality education to students and shaping their future on modern lines and requirements.
The Minister was speaking at an Annual Day-cum-Prize distribution of Common Public High School, Sangoor located in the vicinity of town as a chief guest, here today.
The function started with lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest followed by Sarswati Vandna and presentation of ANNUAL Report of the activities of the School by the principal.
A fascinating cultural bonanza presented by the school children based on patriotism, social evils and Dogra culture and traditions was highly appreciated by the audience which got repeated cheers of the parents and spectators present in large number to witness the function.
Mr. Jugal kishore Sharma congratulated the school management, staff and students on the occasion for achieving better results in academics, games and cultural activities. He appreciated the staff of the school who put their best efforts in making the annual day function a grand success.
The Minister appreciated the administration of the school for introducing Urdu as one of the subjects in their institution saying that Urdu language has special significance in our state being an official language. He called upon other educational institutions to follow suit and impart Urdu education in the interest of students.
The Minister expressed his confidence that the government led by the Chief Minister, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad is poised for bringing revolution in Education Sector by opening required number of schools, colleges and University Campuses in left out areas of the state so that the poor and deserving students have access to higher education without traveling large distances.
Later, the Minister also distributed trophies to students who excelled in academics and other co-curricular activities.
Among others, the Additional DDC Udhampur, Mr. Khurshid Ahmed Bhat, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mr. J.L.Sharma, Chief Education Officer, Mr. V.M. Raina, Councilor Mr. Brij Mohan Sharma, senior political activists, prominent citizens, parents, staff and students were present to witness the function.
